Karbon Next 2027 will be held at Terranea Resort. The 5-star luxury property is set on 102 oceanfront acres on the Palos Verdes Peninsula with 270-degree Pacific views, under an hour from Los Angeles International Airport.
Optional small-group activities bring together participants around shared themes and interests, while exploring some of coastal Los Angeles' most memorable settings.

Who is Karbon Next for?
Karbon Next is an exclusive gathering for progressive and forward-thinking accounting leaders from around the world. It's designed for firm owners, senior leaders, and Karbon Champions who want to connect with peers, gain insights from industry trailblazers, and hear directly from the Karbon leadership team about our vision and product roadmap.
How can I get an invitation to Karbon Next?
Karbon Next is an invite-only event for leaders of the most progressive accounting firms from around the world. If you have not yet received an invitation, fit that profile, and would like to purchase a Karbon Next ticket, register your interest here.
How much does a Karbon Next ticket cost?
A limited number of early-bird tickets are available for $1,999. Once they sell out, a standard ticket costs $2,299.
A large part of the ticket cost is underwritten by Karbon to keep the event as affordable as possible. All tickets include 2 nights’ accommodation, official Karbon Next meals and drinks, full event access and more.
What's included with my Karbon Next ticket?
A ticket to Karbon Next covers nearly everything across the three-day experience:
- 2 nights' accommodation at Terranea Resort
- All meals throughout the event
- Cocktail receptions and the Karbon Excellence Awards Gala Dinner
- Keynote presentations, roundtables, and breakout sessions
- Networking opportunities with leaders from across the profession
Are travel costs included in the ticket?
Attendees are responsible for arranging and covering their own travel to and from the event. Your ticket includes accommodation, meals, and all official Karbon Next activities once you arrive.
Can I bring my team?
To keep Karbon Next intimate and high-impact, attendance is strictly limited. To give as many people as possible the chance to attend, representatives from a single firm are limited to 2.
Can I bring a plus one?
Yes, you may bring a plus one to share your room. Please keep in mind that plus ones are not included in any organized meals (breakfast, lunch, cocktail receptions, or dinners) and may not participate in organized events, meetings, or activities. If you plan to bring a plus one, please contact karbonnext@karbonhq.com.
Can I bring my children?
We do not recommend you bring your children to the event. If you would like to enjoy the resort after the event with your family, please indicate your alternate dates of stay during registration.
I can only attend a partial day and/or would like to stay elsewhere. Can I get a discounted ticket?
We strongly encourage invitees to attend the entire event to get the most authentic experience. If you can't attend the event in full, we understand. However, discounts will not be offered for partial attendance.
My (spouse, colleague, business partner) and I are both attending. Is there a discount available if we share a room?
We aren't providing any further discounts on top of pricing, because tickets are already heavily subsidized by Karbon. Most of the costs are due to food, drink, and all other elements of hosting an event like Karbon Next.
What are the Karbon Excellence Awards?
The Karbon Excellence Awards celebrate accounting firms that are raising the bar for the profession through progress, impact, and purpose. They recognize firms that have embraced innovation, supported their people, and made a meaningful difference over the past year.
The 2027 Karbon Excellence Awards Gala will take place on the evening of Thursday, June 3. All finalists will be recognized, with category winners announced live during the gala.

What is the dress code for the event?
Above all, we want you to be comfortable. There is no strict dress code for Karbon Next. The guidelines below are simply to help you plan.
- Daytime conference sessions: Business casual
- Welcome Reception (June 2): Business casual. This event will be held outdoors, so we recommend comfortable footwear and packing layers.
- Karbon Excellence Awards Gala (June 3): Cocktail attire is encouraged. This is our night to celebrate.
The Palos Verdes coast in early June is mild, with daytime temperatures around the low 70s °F (about 22 °C) and cooler evenings by the water. Coastal mornings are often overcast before clearing by midday, so we recommend bringing light layers.
What do I need to know about my travel to and from Karbon Next?
Attendees are responsible for organizing their own flights to Karbon Next. The closest major airport is Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), roughly a 30 to 45 minute drive to Terranea Resort depending on traffic.
If you sign up for one of our optional activities, transportation to and from the activity is included.
